Great photos and what a lovely idea, the thematic photo assignment! We’re totally “stealing” it 🙂 I’ve long wanted to take photos of people sleeping on trains or buses…

  2. Go Click Travel

What a lovely idea for a post! I bet it’s one of those things you don’t really notice (because it’s so normal) until you go seeking it and from then on see all the time.

    1. You are right, Bethaney… the more we train our eyes, the more inspiring and amazing things we see around us 🙂

Great post! I love the concept behind this. People shots are my favorite types of photo essays 🙂

  4. Zara @ Backpack ME

    Great photos!
In Thailand, it amazed me to see how everyone had smart phones and tablets.. even street vendors (just like we see here in your pics).
Grilling street food on one hand, reading the news (or probably facebook) on the ipad on the other.. pretty cool! 😉

    1. Thank you, Zara 🙂
Here the devices seem to be “kids friendly”, as you can see a small child tapping a tablet so often.
Talking about reading while doing something else, here is so normal that people are having calls and checking iphones while driving a motorcycle!!

Loved the expressions. As if that bit of information is the only thing that matters. Great idea on a photo essay.

    1. Many thanks, Ruann. We wish you a lot of inspiration and right clicks in the right moments!!

  6. I’ve just found your blog and in this collection you’ve really captured the essence of every day Thailand life. I live in Chiang Mai and am working on developing my photo skills. I’ve come to realise that my small village provides so many wonderful photo opportunities I could fill an art gallery! I’ll be keeping an eye on you. James

    1. Hi James,
nice to hear you are enjoying Chiang Mai and its suburb! We love this town with all vibrant life in and around it. Have a great time there!

Thanks, Ahimsa. We’ve been running kind of series for a while, they are just not regular 🙂 Check the Photography category on the top of the main page, subcategory “Photo Essays”.
Hope all is fine by you back in Portland 🙂
      Cheers!

  7. Really nice photos! Nice to see the young kids on the tablets! It’s like looking into the future!
